Standard packaged fire pumpset consists of one electric fire pump, one standby diesel fire pump,1 jockey pump, expansion tank, automatic controller to control the fire pumps manually or automatically. All these pumps, expansion tanks will be assembly together with the pipes and pipe accessories& valves to form one pump system and installed on one common baseframe. The main features of the system are as follows.
1. The
electric fire pump and diesel fire pump have the same performance or it could
be different as per client's request. The fire pump type could be horizontal end
suction pump, horizontal split case pump, horizontal multistage pump. The
standard material of construction of pump is cast iron casing, stainless steel
or bronze/brass impeller fitted and SS shaft with packing seal shaft seal. The
mechanical seal is optional.
2. The jockey pump will begin to work once there is small leakage in the fire
pipes or the sprinkler begin to work. Expansion tank is an effective complement
of jockey pump to stabilize the system pressure.
3. Once the jockey pump flow capacity is not enough to stabilized the pressure once the fire hydrant is open. The electric fire pump will begin to work to provide higher capacity and the jockey pump will stop to work at the mean time.
4. When
the electric power supplied is cut down at some emergent conditions, the diesel
pump will be begin to work until the fire alarm is disappeared. The diesel
engine could be fan&radiator cooling type or heat exchanger cooling type.
The diesel engine equips with the 6-8 hours running fuel tank to promise the engine
to running in enough time to extinguish the fire.
5. The control panel could be auto or manual operation. The jockey
pump,electric pump and diesel fire pump will be started in order controlled by
the control panel. And there is remote communication module in the control
panel to connect the local control panel with the fire control center.
